The White House addressed queries about President Donald Trump’s past connection to Jeffrey Epstein, emphasizing Trump’s distancing from Epstein. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt highlighted Trump’s expulsion of Epstein from Mar-a-Lago due to Epstein’s behavior. Leavitt mentioned newly disclosed documents referencing a possible conversation between Trump and the Palm Beach police chief in the early 2000s.

Leavitt clarified that Trump’s stance on Epstein has been consistent over the years, emphasizing Trump’s decision to sever ties with Epstein. She noted the release of extensive records related to the case, underscoring the administration’s commitment to transparency. Leavitt also confirmed that Trump is not contemplating a pardon for Ghislaine Maxwell.

Regarding Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick’s past interactions with Epstein, Leavitt affirmed Lutnick’s importance in the Trump administration and the president’s full support for him. Leavitt transitioned to highlighting the administration’s recent accomplishments, including milestones in the stock market and immigration policies.
