The YSR Congress Party criticized the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu-led government, alleging failure to fulfill election promises and displaying a vindictive attitude. Leader of Opposition in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council, Botsa Satyanarayana, highlighted the state’s coalition government’s unmet commitments, including unfulfilled promises to women, stagnant education reforms, undistributed school supplies, and poor government hospital operations.
Satyanarayana expressed discontent over CM Naidu’s absence during President Droupadi Murmu’s recent visit, deeming it disrespectful to the highest office, a woman, and a tribal. The YSR Congress Party emphasized the significance of the Machilipatnam-Vijayawada-Guntur (MAVIGUN) proposal in the upcoming 2029 Legislative Assembly elections, aligning with YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s stance favoring MAVIGUN as the state capital corridor.
The party reiterated its commitment to the MAVIGUN versus Amaravati battle in the elections, emphasizing the proposal’s cost-effectiveness and existing infrastructure advantages. Additionally, concerns were raised regarding alleged corruption in Amaravati, with accusations of inflated payments to favored contractors, impacting farmers adversely. The lack of transparency in the capital city’s development process, particularly regarding dealings with the Singapore government or business partners, was also highlighted.
