Former Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party President Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed concern over the collapse of governance in Andhra Pradesh under Chandrababu Naidu. He instructed YSRCP MPs to address various issues like corruption, farmer distress, and rising debt during the upcoming Monsoon Session starting July 20. Jagan led a meeting with YSRCP MPs to strategize their approach in Parliament, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing the interests of Andhra Pradesh’s people.
Jagan highlighted the prevalence of scams and irregularities in the state, particularly mentioning the DSC 2025 recruitment scandal. He pointed out instances of malpractice in DSC appointments, including favoritism and question paper leaks. Additionally, he criticized arbitrary land allotments and corruption in Amaravati construction projects, citing instances of exorbitant costs and unfair land acquisitions.
The former Chief Minister raised concerns about the harassment faced by dissenting voices and individuals questioning the ruling party. Jagan condemned the repression of democratic rights, especially through false cases and arrests under the guise of social media scrutiny. He also directed MPs to address issues such as mandatory TET requirements for teachers and the privatization of public assets, emphasizing the need to protect state revenue and combat organized corruption.
