Shivamogga (Karnataka), Feb 24 (IANS) The Karnataka government on Tuesday announced a compensation of Rs 15 lakh for the family of Class 10 student Sanketh, who was killed following an assault in Shivamogga, while police said that they had detained seven persons in the case so far.Chief Minister Siddaramaiah directed officials over the phone to provide financial assistance to the bereaved family.
