Bollywood star Ajay Devgn commemorated the sixth anniversary of his historical epic Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior by sharing illustrated artwork depicting powerful scenes from the film. In a Marathi post on social media, Ajay wrote, “The fort is won but the lion is dead,” hinting that the story continues with the hashtag #6YearsOfTanhaji. The artwork portrays Ajay as the fearless Maratha warrior Tanhaji Malusare, standing tall in a battlefield, and features Kajol in the role of Tanhaji’s wife.
Directed by Om Raut, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior was released on January 10, 2020, and was a joint production by Ajay Devgn, Bhushan Kumar, and Krishan Kumar under T-Series and Ajay Devgn’s FFilms. The movie, which starred Saif Ali Khan as the antagonist and Kajol as Tanhaji’s wife Savitribai, achieved significant success at the box office. Notably, it won the National Award for Best Popular Film.
Ajay Devgn and Kajol, who have worked together in several films, first met on the set of “Gundaraj” in 1994 and eventually tied the knot in 1999 in a traditional Maharashtrian ceremony. The couple welcomed their daughter in 2003 and their son, Yug, in 2010. In terms of upcoming projects, Ajay is gearing up for the release of ‘Dhamaal 4’ in 2026, which also features Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, and other prominent actors.
