Amit Shah Chairs High-Level Meeting to Boost Cooperative Sector in Gujarat

Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah led a significant ‘Manthan Baithak’ in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, gathering Cooperation Ministers from all states and Union Territories to enhance the cooperative sector and bolster rural economic development nationwide.

The event saw the presence of Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Assembly Speaker Shankar Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, and other officials. Union Minister Amit Shah inaugurated cooperative projects in Gujarat totaling Rs 265.30 crore, including an ethanol distillery plant, a power co-generation plant, and an organic potash plant.

Projects by Amul and others were also launched, focusing on infrastructure development and best practices in the cooperative sector. The meeting aimed to fortify the country’s cooperative framework, boost the rural economy, and increase farmers’ income through cooperative societies.
