A BJP leader and former Mandal President of the party’s Scheduled Caste Morcha, Ramavatar Aswal, was discovered dead in questionable circumstances, with his family suspecting foul play. His body was found in a pool of blood inside his scrap warehouse in the Manoharpur area of Jaipur district. Allegations from his family members suggest that he was a victim of murder.
The Manoharpur police, along with a Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team, gathered evidence from the crime scene where the deceased was found. The body has been taken to NIMS Hospital for a post-mortem examination while investigations are ongoing. Family members and villagers gathered at the Manoharpur police station, demanding swift action and the arrest of the perpetrator.
Identified as Ramavatar Aswal alias Pappu, the deceased was a 55-year-old resident of Manoharpur town who owned a scrap warehouse near the Manoharpur bus stand. Initial findings indicate that an individual visited the warehouse on Monday night and allegedly attacked Ramavatar before fleeing the scene. Concerned when he did not return home, his family discovered him injured at the warehouse, leading to his immediate hospitalization and subsequent death.
Following the incident, the police secured the warehouse and its vicinity, initiating a thorough investigation that includes reviewing CCTV footage. Additionally, police presence has been reinforced around the warehouse as authorities work towards identifying and apprehending the suspect.
