The Central Industrial Force (CISF) and the Indian Army have joined forces to improve the CISF’s expertise in drone operations. A professional Drone Training Session was held for CISF personnel at the Army War College in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh. The training covered various aspects of drone operations, flight safety regulations, and surveillance protocols to enhance operational readiness and technological skills.
This collaborative training initiative underscores CISF’s commitment to capacity building, skill development, and the integration of modern technologies for effective security operations. In response to the escalating threats of drone and cyberattacks on critical installations, CISF has devised strategies to counter these challenges. Notably, CISF has prioritized drone and anti-drone training, establishing a dedicated training center in Behror, Rajasthan.
To address the evolving security landscape, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs has approved the establishment of a Remote Pilot Training Organization for drone operation and anti-drone systems. Home Minister Amit Shah recently emphasized CISF’s pivotal role in safeguarding the nation’s security, expanding its responsibilities to include aerial threat management at crucial sites like airports, seaports, and industrial hubs.
CISF, known for securing 70 airports and 361 vital institutions nationwide, has safeguarded numerous significant projects, including Kartavya Bhavan, Seva Teerth, Noida International Airport, and the Bhakra Dam Project.
