Veteran actress Hema Malini became emotional as she honored the late Dharmendra, known as the ‘He-Man’ of Bollywood, at the opening of ‘LENS & LEGACY: BOLLYWOOD IN FOCUS’ by The National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA) in Mumbai. Reflecting on Dharmendra’s remarkable legacy, Malini highlighted his deep love for cinema and his dedication to connecting with audiences through his films. She expressed how Dharmendra’s passion for acting and his ability to touch the hearts of millions have left a lasting impact on the industry and inspired many, including the younger generation.
Recalling her fond memories of the late icon, Hema Malini openly shared her feelings of missing him dearly and expressed uncertainty about how she will cope with his loss. She described Dharmendra as a great man and expressed her gratitude for the time they shared, emphasizing the significant void his absence has left in her life.
Dharmendra, who passed away on November 24, 2025, at the age of 89 in his Mumbai home, had been hospitalized a few days before his death due to respiratory problems. Despite receiving treatment and being discharged, his health deteriorated, leading to his demise.
