Tensions have escalated between the two nations recently due to reported violent incidents against religious minorities in Bangladesh. The PGTI chief stated that a meeting will be organized soon to deliberate on the participation of Bangladeshi players.
Kapil Dev clarified that no final decision has been made regarding the inclusion of Bangladesh players in the PGTI. A board meeting is planned to discuss the matter further and provide an update to all concerned parties.
Amid rising concerns over atrocities against minorities in Bangladesh, the BCCI instructed the IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders to release pace spearhead Mustafizur Rahman from the team.
