Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) captain Ajinkya Rahane inspired the team following a 65-run defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2026. Despite consecutive losses, Rahane highlighted the positives within the team, emphasizing that two defeats do not define their tournament journey. He commended the bowling performance, particularly the strong comeback after the initial ten overs, where the bowlers troubled the SRH batsmen.

Rahane stressed the importance of self-belief among players, encouraging them to see themselves as potential match-winners in any situation. He lauded the batting aggression displayed while chasing a challenging target, acknowledging that victories in every match are not guaranteed. The captain urged the team to maintain a positive outlook and focus on individual abilities to secure wins for KKR.

KKR faced setbacks in their first two matches, marking a rare poor start in the team’s history. Looking ahead, they aim to recover as they prepare to face Punjab Kings on April 6 and Lucknow Super Giants on April 9.
