Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav wished the state’s residents a happy Holi, emphasizing the need for safe celebrations alongside ongoing school exams. He highlighted the importance of balancing festivity with the academic well-being of children. School exams for Classes 10 and 12 began on February 13 and will end on March 6.
The Chief Minister actively participated in the Bhagoria festival, a traditional event heralding the start of Holi festivities in tribal regions like Jhabua, Alirajpur, and Barwani. This festival, attracting visitors from across India and beyond, symbolizes the arrival of spring. The week-long celebration concluded recently.
In preparation for Holi, Chief Minister Yadav led a meeting with top police officials, including DGP Kailash Makwana and ADG Intelligence A. Sai Manohar, to discuss law enforcement measures. Emphasizing the need for vigilance, he urged officers to maintain law and order diligently during the festival. He also announced surprise inspections of police stations and stressed the importance of transparent law enforcement practices.
Yadav underscored the significance of swift police responses to any incidents during festivals, instructing officers to prioritize public safety. He mandated strict adherence to ‘dry day’ regulations and urged officers to enhance administrative arrangements in their respective jurisdictions. Monitoring examination centers and hostels during the ongoing school exams was also highlighted as a crucial task.
