With Holi approaching for Hindus and Ramadan ongoing for Muslims, Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi, the All India Muslim Jamaat chief, appealed for communities to honor each other’s religious sentiments. Security measures are being heightened nationwide to ensure peace and order during these concurrent celebrations.

Maulana Rizvi emphasized the need for understanding and collaboration between communities during this period of overlapping festivals. He highlighted the importance of mutual respect and adjustments to maintain peace and unity, especially when different religious events coincide with each other.

The cleric called for enhanced coordination between Hindus and Muslims to ensure peaceful celebrations. He urged both communities to exercise restraint and follow government guidelines, emphasizing the significance of maintaining harmony and avoiding tensions during the festive season.

Authorities are stepping up security measures, particularly in sensitive areas, to ensure the smooth conduct of celebrations. Surveillance has been increased, social media platforms are being monitored to prevent misinformation, and additional police deployment and drone surveillance are being utilized in various cities.

Officials are dividing urban areas into zones for better coordination and quick response in case of any incidents. Regular meetings with peace committees and community leaders are being held to strengthen coordination and communication. Special attention is being given to areas where Holi and Ramadan coincide to maintain harmony.

Authorities are committed to maintaining vigilance in the upcoming days to promote communal harmony. Citizens are urged to celebrate responsibly and adhere to official guidelines during the festive period to ensure a peaceful and harmonious environment.
