The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) stated that the INDIA bloc is contracting due to internal conflicts among opposition parties. In contrast, Congress emphasized the unity of the Opposition alliance despite differences at the state level. Shiv Sena spokesperson Sanjay Nirupam highlighted the NDA’s expansion and strength, attributing it to leaders’ close connection with the public.
Congress MP Manickam Tagore stressed the unity of the INDIA bloc, formed to combat the RSS, BJP, and Amit Shah. While acknowledging state-level differences among allies, Tagore reiterated the alliance’s unity in opposing the RSS and BJP. He mentioned the Aam Aadmi Party’s exit and DMK’s announcements but highlighted Trinamool Congress’s continued significance within the alliance.
In a veiled reference to the DMK, Tagore urged remaining parties to prioritize national interests over state-level disputes in the fight against the RSS, BJP, and Home Minister Amit Shah. BJP MP Kiran Choudhary criticized the Trinamool Congress, citing internal strife within the party. Choudhary pointed out the BJP’s appeal in West Bengal due to its stance on illegal Bangladeshi immigrants, leading to the Trinamool Congress’s decline.
