The Rajasthan Royals, the inaugural IPL champions, revealed their new jersey for the upcoming 2026 season. The jersey, in the team’s traditional blue and pink colors, was showcased by captain Riyan Parag, young batsman Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, and spinner Ravi Bishnoi. The team will kick off their IPL 2026 campaign against the Chennai Super Kings on March 30 at the ACA Stadium in Guwahati.
The franchise will play their initial three home matches in Guwahati, with future fixtures at their primary home ground, the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, to be scheduled by the BCCI. The opening match against Chennai Super Kings will be significant as former players Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran, now with RR, will face their old team. RR’s first away game will be against Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on April 4.
After the away game, RR will return to Guwahati to host Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru on April 7 and April 10, respectively. With a focus on early momentum, RR aims to improve on their disappointing ninth-place finish in the 2025 season, where they secured only four wins out of 14 matches. Riyan Parag’s appointment as captain follows Sanju Samson’s departure to CSK, with Parag having briefly led the team in the 2025 season during Samson’s absence due to injury.
