Cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar, accompanied by his family and his son’s fiancée Saaniya Chandhok’s family, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi to extend a personal invitation to Arjun Tendulkar’s wedding. Sachin shared the meeting on social media, expressing gratitude to the Prime Minister for his blessings and advice for the young couple. The wedding festivities are scheduled to commence on March 3 in Mumbai, with the marriage ceremony set for March 5.
Arjun Tendulkar, the son of Sachin, is preparing to marry Saaniya Chandhok, a successful entrepreneur and qualified veterinary technician. The couple got engaged in a private ceremony last August, with plans for an intimate wedding attended by close family and friends. Arjun, known for his fast bowling and lower-order batting skills, has been actively playing in domestic cricket and the Indian Premier League.
Arjun made his Ranji Trophy debut for Goa in 2022, impressing with a century in his first-class match. He joined the Mumbai Indians in the IPL, making his debut in 2023 and securing his first wicket against Sunrisers Hyderabad. After being retained for the 2024 season, he was later traded to the Lucknow Super Giants ahead of the 2026 IPL season.
