Tamil Nadu’s major political parties, the DMK and AIADMK, are gearing up for the election results after polling in all 234 Assembly constituencies. Both parties have set up war rooms to manage operations on counting day, ensuring smooth coordination with candidates and officials at the 62 counting centers designated by the Election Commission of India.
These war rooms will serve as central hubs, providing real-time updates and quick responses to any issues that may arise during the counting process. The AIADMK has established extensive communication networks, sharing contact details of key officials to enable immediate assistance in case of any problems at the counting centers.
Similarly, the DMK has deployed legal experts and senior coordinators in its war room setup to closely monitor the proceedings and address any disputes or irregularities promptly. The focus is on accounting for every vote and resolving any concerns without delay, learning from past election experiences.
As the 2021 Assembly polls saw narrow victory margins in several constituencies, both parties are maintaining strict oversight to avoid complacency until the final counting round. The upcoming 2026 election, marked by new political entrants and changing voter dynamics, is expected to witness tighter races and contested outcomes, prompting heightened vigilance from the political players.
With the counting day drawing near, the DMK and AIADMK are ensuring their organizational machinery is fully prepared for what could be a closely contested electoral battle.
