They reported that the worker, involved in assembling the show structures, suffered fatal injuries. Despite prompt care from first responders and transportation to the hospital, the professional did not survive. According to the state fire brigade (CBMERJ), the worker faced severe injuries to his lower limbs in a lifting system mishap. The victim was already removed from the equipment by colleagues before emergency teams arrived. Despite immediate pre-hospital care and transportation to the hospital, the worker could not be saved. The mayor of Rio de Janeiro confirmed Shakira as the headliner for the ‘Todo Mundo no Rio’ public concert on Copacabana Beach, part of her global tour that commenced in 2025.
