Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan expressed optimism about the Bharatiya Janata Party’s success in the upcoming two-phased Assembly elections in West Bengal. He stated that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has lost her support in the state. Pradhan, campaigning in Baranagar, emphasized the need for a fair electoral process.
Ramping up criticism against Banerjee, Pradhan accused her of neglecting the people and losing their trust. He highlighted that the public sentiment has turned against her due to her alleged deception. Pradhan also criticized Banerjee for her actions against constitutional authorities.
Responding to Banerjee’s “outsiders” remark about the BJP, Pradhan defended the party’s local roots in Bengal. He referenced an incident in Malda where judicial officers were reportedly held captive, blaming the Trinamool Congress for the situation. Pradhan called for a change in government to address the deteriorating law and order in West Bengal.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, campaigning in Darjeeling, promised a lasting political resolution for the Gorkha community if the BJP wins. Shah assured that the BJP understands the concerns of the Gorkhas and is best positioned to address their issues effectively.
