Alisha Chinai, known for her ‘Made In India’ hit, recently posted a throwback photo on Instagram, reminiscing about her rebellious past. In the image, she is seen in a black dress with a light pink fur-textured jacket, exuding a classic evening look. Chinai expressed her ongoing connection to her rebellious nature in the caption, emphasizing the importance of occasional defiance.

Starting her singing journey with the album ‘Jadoo’ in 1985, Alisha Chinai rose to fame in the 1990s as the ‘Queen of Indipop.’ Collaborating with veteran music director Bappi Lahiri, she delivered numerous disco hits in films like ‘Adventures of Tarzan’ and ‘Dance Dance’ during the 1980s.

Over the years, Chinai ventured into Bollywood, working with various music directors like Anu Malik and Rajesh Roshan. She delivered several chart-topping songs, including “Dhak Dhak Dhak” and “Tere Ishq Mein Nachenge,” solidifying her position in the industry.

Alisha Chinai’s notable tracks like “Kaate Nahin Katthe” from ‘Mr. India’ and “Raat Bhar Jaam Se” from ‘Tridev’ became massive hits in the 1980s. Making a comeback with the song “Oh My Darling” from ‘Mujhse Dosti Karoge!,’ she also appeared as a judge on reality shows like Indian Idol 3 and Zee TV’s Star Ya Rockstar.
