Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta led Holi celebrations at the Assembly premises, highlighting the festival’s significance beyond colors as a reflection of India’s civilizational strength. The event brought together diplomats, political leaders, and public representatives in a display of cultural harmony and international goodwill.
The celebration was attended by Ambassadors, High Commissioners, and members of the diplomatic corps, including Union Minister Harsh Malhotra. The gathering showcased diplomatic goodwill and national unity, transforming the Assembly into a hub of diplomacy, culture, and democratic fellowship.
Notable attendees included dignitaries from various countries such as Sri Lanka, China, Nepal, Mauritius, Iraq, and South Africa, among others. Representatives from over 31 nations participated in the event, emphasizing India’s diplomatic engagement and enduring friendships globally.
In his address, the Speaker extended Holi greetings and emphasized the festival’s embodiment of civilizational ethos. He highlighted the triumph of truth, faith, and moral courage, drawing parallels to legends like Prahlad and Holika, as well as the joyful traditions of Radha and Krishna symbolizing harmony and shared humanity.
