Delhi Social Welfare Minister Ravindra Indraj Singh and Health and Family Welfare Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh visited the family of a young man who was fatally attacked in Uttam Nagar during a minor argument on Holi. Expressing deep condolences, Singh highlighted the tragic loss and the impact on the victim’s family.
During the meeting, Member of Parliament Kamaljeet Sehrawat and BJP’s Raj Sharma were also present, showing solidarity with the grieving family. Singh described the incident as heart-wrenching, emphasizing the bright future that the victim, Tarun, had ahead of him, now shattered by the unfortunate event.
Singh condemned the violence that marred the festival of Holi, known for its message of unity and joy, stating that the government stands in support of the bereaved family during this challenging time. He assured that strict action would be taken against the perpetrators, ensuring justice for the victim and his family.
Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh denounced the incident as condemnable and pledged to the family that the Delhi Police would take stringent measures. The situation in Uttam Nagar’s JJ Colony remains tense, with heightened security measures in place to maintain order following the tragic incident.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Niharika Bhatt, visited the family to assess the situation firsthand and oversee security arrangements. Five individuals have been arrested in connection with the case, with ongoing investigations to ensure accountability for all involved in the violent escalation that led to the youth’s death.
